If you were to ask someone from the UK, “what is the best music festival you guys have?” Your response would likely be a blank stare and a gaping mouth. Why? It is overwhelming. Your question is near-impossible to answer. You see, the UK doesn’t kid around; they take their music, and their festivals, very seriously.

To help ease the pain of deciding upon your summer shenanigans, I will give you a list of some of the best music festivals in the UK. From there, you can narrow it down to one, two, or five of your choosing.

Love Box Music Festival

July 14th-15th, 2017

Love Box is the place to be if you like to spice up how you get down. As a festival of great diversity, lovers of hip-hop, pop, indie, rock, and EDM, it will all congregate in the beautiful Victoria Park to create a massive harmony of exuberant, free-spirited fun.

In the past, they have featured the likes of Snoop Dogg, Duran Duran, Groove Armada, and LCD Soundsystem. Juicy? Yes. As well, for 2017, Love Box scheduled headliner is to be the handsome and talented Frank Ocean!

Latitude Festival

Latitude Festival is a temporary psychedelic wonderland; 3 glorious days of the best music imaginable, located in an enchanted forest dream-scape. Not only that, but Latitude hosts dozens of workshops, comedy shows, famous authors, and much more.

However, the real magic lies within their world famous line ups; from Franz Ferdinand, to Alt-J, to Snow Patrol, this festival’s musicians will have you “squee-ing” all day long. Also, Lana Del Ray is rumored to headline for 2017! But, shhh.

Isle of Wight Festival

The Isle of Wight is one of the most prestigious festivals in all of the UK, due to its great history and even greater lineups. Did you know that during the 70s, the Isle of Wight festival nearly doubled the size of Woodstock? That’s right- it is legendary.

Iconically located off England’s coast on the Isle of Wight, this brilliant festival has brought in musical extraordinaires such as The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Calvin Harris, and The Pixies. This year, June 8th-11th, they will be featuring the wizardry of Bastille, Arcade fire, Run DMC, and more!

Do any of you rockers out there have rockfists antsy to be fervidly thrown into the air? You’re in luck. From heavy metal, to alternative, to punk, Download festival is the biggest, baddest rock festival in all of Britain. They have made history in the world of rock by headlining bands like Rammstein, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden.

This year, Download will be headbaning all over the “Spiritual Home of Rock,” Donington Park, to musical heroes such as Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, Slayer, and System of a Down. Yeah!

Bestival Lulworth

Taking place off the Jurassic Coastlines of England, Bestival will be setting “Fancy Dress” themes, bringing in top comedians, creating interactive workshops, and featuring epic musicians (LCD Soundsystem is rumored to be on the lineup for 2017) to get down and funky to, making this festival and other-worldly experience.
