Electric Forest Festival
Welcome to Electric Forest Festival. The festival is held (as always) on the arboreous coasts of Lake Michigan on the Double JJ Resort grounds in Rothbury, MI.
EDM under the Stars
Electric Forest has hosted a variety of artists and has garnered a strong community over the years. Past lineups include EDM artists like Skrillex and Flume, which the festival is most known for.
However, lineups have also featured Slightly Stoopid and 311 in the reggae-funk genre, and independent and folk artists like Citizen Cope and Trampled By Turtles. Oh, and Electric Forest is always keepin’ it one hunnid with rappers like Snoop Dogg and Schoolboy Q.
Electric Forest 2019 includes some of the best sets in EDM: Bassnectar, Kygo, Alison Wonderland, Bob Moses, and more.

Other Side of the Picture

As always, free daily yoga sessions will be led by professional yoga instructors, to keep your mind, body, and soul in top shape! Comment
This year’s lineup is packed with diversity, from the electronic vibes of Bassnectar and The String Cheese Incident, to the chill vibes of Xavier Rudd and ZHU. Plus, a hundred other artists sure to shock you.
In past years, alcohol has been the center of some issues regarding behavior in the campgrounds. In 2016, Electric Forest decided to restrict the availability of alcohol inside the festival, and limit alcohol brought from outside.
The policy is being used by many festivals to create an awareness around alcohol — you don’t need to be blackout drunk to have fun!
3 EF Rave Tips
1○ Get A Map
This year’s festival will have 6 mind-blowing stages, all connected by paths through the forest and grasses. The campground is a jungle of it’s own.
While navigating the forests is in our DNA, navigating the campgrounds is a different story (especially in the dark), but can be easy with the handy-dandy Electric Forest app that shows your location of the map.
2○ Bring A Hammock
The air will be warm and humid and the forest ground is very hard. You can avoid the muggy tent experience altogether by sleeping underneath the ventilated treetops in a hammock. Don’t have a hammock?
Fret not, the Sherwood Forest area will have hundreds of hammocks to relax in. Alternatively, Moon Mattresses (which also function as foam ear plugs) will be available in the vending area.
Beer and wine are allowed (within limits), but can only be consumed in the campgrounds. Every individual over the age of 21 years can bring up to one case of beer and one box of wine. Glass bottles will be confiscated.
So Why Electric Forest Festival?
If you want to have an electric time, dancing with woodland creatures into the cool starry nights as waves of bass and melody wash over the forest floor… Electric Forest is an open door! Bring your flux capacitors and get ready to ground yourself in a pristine environment during the last 2 weekends of June. We’ll see you there.
